Abortion issue - objective discussion

Tagged:

MK,

Let's say for example that we chose to discuss the issue of abortion.  (I'm guessing that you are in favor of abortion (?)).

Can we have an objective and intellectually honest discussion?

I would say that we can and not, even once, bring in a religious note.  I propose to argue against abortion with out resorting to any comments about faith and morals.  Instead, I would present statistical, medical, social, and cultural evidence that abortion is damaging to women and society.  From a purely secular perspective, I would propose to demonstrate to you that abortion is never a reasonable option.

Would you be willing to have such a discussion - totally devoid of dogma? JM and PM could police us if either one moves outside the facts.  Violations could cost $50 each with monies sent either to Planned Parenthood (if I violate) or National Pro-Life Alliance (if you violate)?  JM/PM would collect the money and send it accordingly.

Please advise,

JS

MK,

I guess I'll take that as a no.   That is, "No, we can't have an intellectually honest discussion."

What a shame,
